Orlando Adventure

Good morning,
SO this is totally a week late but... its been a weird week.

Last Sunday we went to Orlando. No we didn't go to Disney or any other theme park.
Believe it or not Orlando has other things to offer. I know weird right.

We went to the Orlando Farmers market. Its open every Sunday. Its a fun little walk around to see the vendors and such. My goal was to find yummy foods. But there really wasn't anything that was jumping out and saying yum.

Most of it was standard food you get at any festival or fair. You know... funnel cakes, burgers, hot dogs... that kind of stuff.

There was one place we almost got something... it was someone advertising pierogis. they looked good... but... she was literally taking them out of a frozen package and putting them on an grill...

I can do that...

So we passed.

We did get a pineapple drink...

Sorry random dude in picture.

I really hate posing with food. I like to snap sneaky pictures because... well that is just who I am as a person.

It was a pineapple mango drink inside a pineapple. Cool right?

Meh... if you see these and want to try them I recommend just getting the drink with out the pineapple. yeah it looks cool but it was heavy and awkward to hold. I made him hold it lol.
It was also a very sweet drink so it was hard to drink a lot of.

It was also 10.00

I am not sure how much just the drink was but it was cheaper. And you get the same drink...just no pineapple.

So I guess if its important to you to drink your liquids from the fruit it came from.... then by all means i recommend this.

However if you are like me and like to think of practical things... just get the drink. HAHA

I think my favorite thing about going to this place is seeing all the dogs. People bring them to walk around and interact with other dogs. THEY ARE SO CUTE!

I definitely had puppy fever. Which didn't help when my husband (ha! still love saying that by the way) said hey lets go to a puppy store.

NO!

We didn't get a puppy lol dont worry.
Never thought I would be the reasonable person that would say no to puppies but here I am with only two dogs and three cats...

ANY-WHO

I was getting hungry and like I said none of the food was speaking to me. I am all about trying new foods but the problem in Florida is its hot and eating hot foods while standing outside just wasn't appealing to me at the time.

So after a few minutes of "what do you want? no what do you want?" Chris did his husbandly duties and took over and picked.

And I am not the wife that ever says ew this isn't what I want....

But he is pretty good at picking things that I like... which isn't hard. Its either Sushi or noodley noodles (Ramen for those who dont speak Casey)

We went to a place called DOMU. If you check this place out be sure to look at the hours... they open then close and then open back up on Sunday. It was weird. And if you can make a reservation... I would recommend that.

It was about an hour wait.

in my opinion.... TOTALLY WORTH IT! oh my god it was so yummy!

We havent been to too many places with Ramen but out of the few we have that one is the best by far.

I got the Tokyo Ramen which had (and i am totally typing this from their menu no way id remember all this) Shoyo Chicken Broth, fried chicken thigh, ajitama Brulee, Kikurage, Seared garlic chives, indused duck fat, garlic scallion confit

Yeah... sounds weird. I know but I have learn that with these kinds of things its best not to think about it to much and I try to make sure that its not spicy.

I think Chris got the Spicy Tonkotsu which was Shio Pork bone broth, Menma scallions, ajitama, Cahshu, house made spicy bomb, Komi oil

I tried a taste of his and it was really good but just a tad too spicy for me. (I know I am a wimp its ok you dont have to tell me)
This was mine. I was too excited when I got it and I mixed it up before taking a picture ( I know I am so bad at this lol)

I am also pleased to announce that I am getting way better at chopsticks. And by way better I mean I can eat a whole bowl of Ramen without a fork.... Is it graceful? No... but lets be honest nothing I do is generally graceful. It was weird sitting at a bar next to a complete stranger and I worked really hard not to bump into him. Thankfully he was too caught up in his conversation with the person he was with to notice me fumbling with chopsticks.

The Ramen was filling but.... we still had one more food item on our list....

Cookies.

Now before you get too excited like I did... I think I would rather go to Subway and get their cookies before I ever go to this place again.

They look good right?
Well.. I mean... they were ok. But as the cookie snob that I am... they weren't the best.
But the place we went to was called Insomnia cookies and the lady working there... looked like she had insomnia. Not a very great personality. And the one thing that my Husband likes to do is look over the menu...thoroughly. Where my anxiety is just like pick and go dont waste anyones time.
I am getting better. I find things to distract myself while he is looking.
And I know he usually gets a lot but I feel like the people waiting behind the counter are like "Oh my god he is taking a whole hour and he is probably going to order water and leave"
That is never the case. For instance... this order was
2 chocolate chip cookies
2 white macadamia nut cookies
1 peanut butter cookie
1 mint chocolate chip cookie
and two smores cookies

Go big or go home?

They were ok. not great. not terrible...just ok.
They have ice cream and brownies.
Its worth checking out if you have no where else to be. But I wouldn't make a special trip.

well that was it for our exciting adventure to Orlando last weekend.
I guess I need to stop living in the past and focus on today and actually get some stuff done. Oh how I hate cleaning.

PS. Bruce might be out of the pictures for a little bit....

I promised him I wouldn't post any pictures of his terrible haircut his momma had to give him...
Fat cat long hair problems...
BUT DON'T BE ALARMED he is fine...just..humiliated. and his butt is cold...
teehee.
Eviee wanted me to tell everyone that for the right price she might leak a picture... Brat.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

It’s late and I can’t sleep again. Mostly because on nights like this, nights before I make a video the creative side of my brain is on fire...
